Why You Should Keep Going
“The harder I work, the luckier I get.” ~ Pitbull (the rapper) Check it out. I had lunch yesterday with the CPA I’ve been doing some work for here recently. He wants me to do more side work for him and to make it consistent. We’ll be working in a revenue share model on an ongoing basis. So, that means as I’m able to do more for him and his business, the more my business will make. This was a pipe dream for me 4 months ago. I share this because he told me yesterday that this all started from a LinkedIn post I made a couple months ago. Without it, he wouldn’t have known who I was. There have been many days where I’ve wanted to stop LinkedIn. But regardless of the amount of impressions I was getting, I decided to keep posting. So, whatever you are doing right now, just keep going. You might find that the harder you work, the luckier you’ll get too. P.S. The verse of the day was also chosen because of this very story (Ecc. 11:6).

Develop A Cadence for Following Up
I have a prospect that I’ve been in touch with the last couple of months. He’s told me multiple times that we may not be a fit. Yesterday, we had another conversation and he told me the same thing, but the tone changed a bit. Today, he texted me and asked to meet in person to discuss next steps. Because I kept in touch with him the last couple of months, we are now meeting face to face. I’m confident if this continues, he won’t keep saying no. So make sure to keep in touch with your prospects!
Get Active On LinkedIn - TODAY!!!
If you want any advancement in your career/business, I strongly recommend getting active on LinkedIn. Why? Well, let’s use my case as an example. I had a New Year’s Resolution to post everyday on LinkedIn this year. In 45 days, this community went from <10 members to 70+. My yearly impressions are hovering around 500k. I’ve grown my following 50%. And I’ve had multiple business owners reach out to me about helping them with their bookkeeping (which I don’t offer, btw). So, for those of you who ARE trying to build a financial service based business like bookkeeping, LinkedIn is a no brainer. BUT…. If you’re like me, you probably didn’t know where to start. That why I recommend joining Collin Strachan’s Skool community👇 https://www.skool.com/become-unforgettable/about?ref=16499aa3dc254c24b3194d39360f4f45 He will teach you how to use LinkedIn to make money. I’m still very new at this LinkedIn game, so I will be sharing as I learn. But, candidly, I didn’t think the results would’ve been this quick. P.S. Since I don’t offer bookkeeping, I may start sending people to you guys if they keep reaching out! Guess we’ll see how things go😉
Family Time > Business Time
Yesterday, my family and I drove 2.5 hours to meet up with the grandparents and go the aquarium. You may see less of me on the weekends, but it is largely because of I prioritize them on Saturdays and Sundays. I want to encourage you all to prioritize the things that matter to you most. Your life expectancy here is 75+ years. At least 33% of that time will likely be spent working. That’s 25 years of work - minimum. Everyone here can build the life they want if they stay focused and use those 25 years effectively to get there. But remember - your career isn’t the only thing you’re meant to build while you’re here on this Earth. Don’t neglect the other things that matter. Happy Sunday!
