Salt & Light Study Series Matthew 5:3-6
Hey Sisters! I was truly blessed by tonight's Bible study. I encourage you to watch this replay when you get some time. Tonight, we covered verses 3-6:
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
Here, Jesus is showing us a life to surrender to:
Poor in spirit - Dependence
Mourning - Honesty
Meekness - Surrender
Hunger - Desire
Reflection questions:
- Where have I been relying on myself instead of God?
- When was the last time I allowed God to truly search my heart?
- Where is God asking me to surrender control?
- What am I consistently feeding my spirit?
Prayer: Father God, I come to you now to acknowledge that I need you. Lord, strip away any pride, any distraction, anything God that keeps me away from You. Make me dependent, honest, surrendered, and hungry for righteousness. Lord form me into a woman who doesn't just hear your word, but who lives it. I ask this in Jesus name, amen.
