I'll go first! Okay, so I am in grad school right now for chaplaincy. I am a full-time student in 2 classes, balancing all the things of wife, mom, caregiver, as well as ministry. I pick up an additional 2 classes on Monday, which will put me in 4 classes (I'll only be in 4 classes for 2 weeks until the current term ends). I looked at the syllabus and immediately got frustrated and discouraged! I legit asked, "Do these professors not have a life? Why is there so much work?! How am I going to do this and keep my head above water?!" I went to bed discouraged but woke up encouraged. The Lord got me together y'all, and reminded me of a few things: -Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." 🧡 All I have to do is truly commit my plans to the Lord. When I do this, my will is in submission to His, and because of this, these plans He called me to will be achieved. This means that I have to trust Him and His will for my life! -1 Corinthians 10:3 "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God's glory." 🧡 Everything I do should be carried out with the desire to glorify God. From the simple, eating and drinking, to the mom-ing, and wife-ing, and friend-ing, and daughter-ing, to being a student in 4 classes at one time! -Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." 🧡 God is teaching me to be content in everything, because He will bring me through. Jesus will give me the strength to endure everything He is calling me to. I had to repent and thank God for the many blessings in my life. He is calling me to chaplaincy, a profession that will allow me, through the Holy Spirit, to be the voice of our Lord and Savior, giving people hope and encouragement in difficult times and growing the kingdom of God by sharing the gospel and leading people to Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
