I have been crocheting forever! I can remember my grandmother always working on an afghan, either in the ripple or a shell pattern. I would ask her to teach me and she always refused. So, when I was in my 20’s, I taught myself using a book from the library! There was no social media in those days. I loved filet crochet and so I learned how to read charts as well as patterns. I dove into baby items and hats and scarves. Today I love making clothing.
Have you always wanted to learn how to crochet? Do you know the basics but struggle with the finishing touches? Are you unsure of reading the patterns, so you stick with scarves and bulky yarns? This is the place for you! I hope makers of all levels will join us here, to learn and to share. There are many places to learn a technique or two. This is a place where you can ask questions and get help on the specific things that are tripping you up. We can go beyond the videos and give you the confidence and skills for a lifelong passion.
