✒️📧🤩Public NOTES BOOST 7/11/2026
Good morning everyone! ☕💜
Happy Saturday!
I've been thinking about all the new people who have joined us lately. Every day I see new names popping up in this thread (and in the community) and I realized...we spend so much time talking about strategies that we sometimes forget to explain how this whole Notes thing actually works.
So today I'd love to make this thread especially helpful if you're newer to Substack.
🌱 If you're brand new to Notes...
Don't think of Notes as another social media platform.
Think of it as walking into a room full of interesting people.
The goal isn't to convince everyone you're brilliant.
Or that you have something to sell.
The goal is to become someone people enjoy seeing show up.
That happens one conversation at a time.
One of the biggest mindset shifts for me was realizing that Notes isn't a bulletin board. It's a networking space.
People aren't scrolling looking for the next sales pitch.
They're looking for conversations, ideas, encouragement, and people they enjoy interacting with.
That's also why Notes is one place where traditional calls to action usually aren't very effective.
Notes travel.
They get restacked.
They resurface weeks or even months later when someone comments on them.
I've had Notes come back to life simply because someone added a thoughtful comment to a conversation I'd almost forgotten about.
So instead of asking yourself, "How can I get people to click my link?"
Try asking...
"How can I start a conversation someone will want to join?"
That one shift changes everything.
One quote from How to Win Friends and Influence People comes to mind every time I think about Notes:
"Be more interested than interesting."
Ask questions.
Celebrate other people.
Share what you're learning.
Be curious.
When people feel seen by you, they'll naturally become curious about you.
And that's how relationships begin.
💜
A few things that helped me grow...
✨ Reply more than you post (but do post 3x a day morning, noon and evening)
✨ Leave thoughtful comments instead of "Great post!"
✨ Restack things that genuinely moved you.
✨ Be curious about other people's work.
✨ Let your personality show.
✨ Remember that people follow people, not perfect marketing.
💜
One thing I think surprises people...
Most of my growth didn't come from trying to "go viral."
It came from showing up consistently.
Some Notes reached thousands.
Some reached dozens.
Both mattered because every interaction was another relationship beginning.
💜
So here's today's question...
If you're brand new to Substack...what feels the most confusing right now?
Or...
If you've been here a while, what's one thing you wish someone had told you when you first started using Notes?
Let's make today's thread a little roadmap for everyone who's just beginning. 🌱✨
🌱🤝💜✨🌿🚀🌞
One of the communities I've consistently shown up in over the last 10 months is Grow with Evelyn. 💜
A lot of people know Evelyn for her Meta marketing strategies (she is the one behind the Skool Meta ads), but one of the things that has had the biggest impact on me is her Traffic Challenge.
Showing up every day has become part of my routine, and I don't think I'd have built the consistency I have today without that practice.
But here's the part I appreciate most...
The goal has never been to cram as many people as possible into a community.
It's about attracting the right people and giving them a reason to keep coming back.
There seems to be this idea online that bigger is always better.
I don't think that's true.
I'd much rather have 100 people who are genuinely engaged than 10,000 who scroll past everything I create.
In our own Skool community, we've consistently maintained an engagement rate of over 60%.
To me, that's something worth celebrating.
It means people aren't just joining.
They're participating.
They're asking questions.
They're helping each other.
They're building relationships.
Those relationships are what eventually become collaborations, referrals, clients, and friendships.
Whether you're building on Substack, Skool, YouTube, a podcast, or anywhere else, don't chase numbers for the sake of numbers.
Build a place where people want to return.
The audience will grow.
But more importantly, the community will grow too. 💜
I'd love to hear from you...
Have you found an online community that's genuinely helped you grow? What made it different? (feel free to share the affiliate link)
🌱🤝💜✨🌿🚀🌞
And on that subject post the link to your own community as well as the links to your notes & content Let's explore what each other are doing here on Skool too. If you've got something special happening let us know!
Post your links to notes and content for boosting here - we'll like, comment and restack where appropriate
🌱 Keep the Conversation Going
If today's Notes Boost inspired you, I'd love to see what you create.
📍Post your Note here in Learn Substack so everyone can encourage you and celebrate your progress. This community is public, so your Notes can be discovered by anyone who visits.
Then...
📍Share the same Note in Client Acquisition for Coaches. That's where we go beyond writing Notes and focus on what happens next. Together, we're building a complete client acquisition system where your visibility creates conversations, your conversations build relationships, and those relationships lead to opportunities.
Remember...
The goal isn't just to publish more content.
It's to create content that leads somewhere. 💜
