If Notes feel like shouting into the void, it’s usually not effort… it’s structure.
Here’s a simple way to start getting traction fast:
1. Say one clear thing Not a tip list. Not a ramble. One idea someone can instantly “get” and react to.
👉 Think: “This is why your content isn’t converting” Not: “5 ways to improve your content”
2. Lead with tension, not information People scroll past information. They stop for something that makes them feel seen or challenged. (I once heard this put - start in the middle of the story)
👉 “You’re posting every day… so why is nothing happening?”
3. Make it easy to respond - If someone has to think too hard, they won’t engage.
End with something simple:
- “This or that?”
- “Where are you stuck?”
- “Does this land?”
4. Post where conversations already exist Don’t just post and leave. Reply to other Notes first → then post yours.
👉 Traction comes from proximity, not isolation.
5. Stay in the thread The first 30–60 minutes matter.
Reply to every comment. Ask a follow-up.
👉 Turn one comment into a mini conversation.
6. Don’t chase volume… build momentum One Note that gets 5 real conversations > 10 that get ignored.
That’s how the algorithm starts paying attention.
If you want a simple filter before you post:
👉 “Would someone feel something reading this… or just scroll?”
That one shift changes everything.
