🌼🌾🍀NOTES BOOST 9/8/2026
Do you ever go through times when you have so many ideas you have to have a conversation with yourself about not acting on them all? Sigh - yeah for those of us with that bent - the struggle is real.
I've been having all the fun with the hobo homesteading publication, Pinterest and the little pop up Printify shop. The Intentional Pin Tool makes creating pins that are actually pins to things people are looking for so fast to make.
To actually seo a pin properly the old way - often called the Bubble Method - takes a bit of know-how and finesses - the tool does it in about a minute. All you do is add your url (or if it's new - copy and paste the content - even the product description) then paste in your board list and presto whamo up to 7 pin ideas with the image headline, title and description along with the best board to pin it to. By day 3 of a brand-new Pinterest account setup the way I share (just 7 boards) Pins are already getting views and likes.
Normally, new accounts languish with no views on their pins forever unless they play the Pin Swap game which I actually think hurts your account more than helps it. And how frustrating is that to go look at your Pinterest account and think I did all that work, and no one is seeing my pins?
That's what the Intentional Pin community exists to help with. I'll be making videos later today showing how the tool works and how I use it. In the meantime, if you think you'd like to leverage Pinterest to get traffic to your content (that you've already created) in a way that is quick, easy and effective... dm me and I'll hook you up.
(And yes, you can use the images & shorts Substack makes as pins! You really just need to get the seo part right for them to be effective and that's what the tool will do for you)

Coming up this week...
Tomorrow we will do the Q&A /SOCIAL HOUR at 1pm mtn - come join us for the hour or stop by for 5 minutes - it's very loose and not recorded. Bring your questions, share your wins or just chat about what's happening in your life.
Thursday is the Monetize Your Mission Mastermind - I'm thinking Notes will be the big topic - We have a lot of new people joining us and I'd like to share how to find the analytics on notes, some thoughts about how to use notes most effectively and perhaps share a preview of the Substack Notes Creation Tool - which uses your material to create a starting place for you to create notes to post.
That will happen at 2pm mtn - bring your questions & thoughts it's going to be a good one.

3 Ways to Use Your Perks Page to Convert More Subscribers 💰
Substack’s new Subscriber Perks feature gives paid publications a dedicated page where readers can see the additional value included with a paid subscription.
And here’s the part that makes this especially useful:
Free subscribers can see your perks—but when they try to unlock one, Substack invites them to upgrade. ✨
That means your Perks page can become a visual, always-available sales page for your paid tier.
Here are three ways you can use it:
1. Offer a Quick Win They Can Download 📥
Turn something you already have into a useful resource your paid subscribers can access immediately:
  • A checklist
  • A workbook
  • A template
  • A short guide
  • A curated resource list
  • A PDF version of one of your most valuable posts
Choose something that helps your ideal subscriber solve one specific problem or take one meaningful step.
The goal isn’t to fill the page with more information. It’s to show readers, “When you become a paid subscriber, this is the kind of practical support waiting for you.”
2. Give Them Greater Access to You 🤝
Information is everywhere. Access, connection and personalized support are far more valuable.
Your perk might include:
  • A private monthly Q&A
  • An exclusive Substack Live
  • A paid-subscriber workshop
  • A private community invitation
  • Office hours or a group coaching session
  • Behind-the-scenes conversations
This works especially well for coaches, consultants and service providers because subscribers aren’t simply paying for more content - they’re moving into a closer relationship with you.
3. Make the Subscription Pay for Itself 🎁
You can also use perks to offer paid subscribers special discounts on your other products or services.
For example:
  • 20% off your digital products
  • A subscriber-only price for a workshop
  • A credit toward a coaching session
  • A discount on an intensive or program
  • Special offers from aligned collaborative partners
If someone can save more through a perk than they spend on their subscription, upgrading becomes a much easier decision.
You could even reserve your most valuable perks for annual or founding subscribers, giving monthly subscribers another natural reason to move into a longer commitment.
The Most Important Part
Don’t treat your Perks page like a storage closet for random bonuses.
Treat it like a visual representation of the transformation your paid subscription provides.
Each perk should answer at least one of these questions:
  • What can this help me accomplish?
  • What will I gain access to?
  • How will becoming a paid subscriber make my life or business easier?
Then regularly point people toward the page from your welcome email, free posts, Notes and occasional promotional campaigns.
A Perks page can’t convert people if they don’t know it exists.
Substack currently allows you to offer digital downloads, promotional codes, community invitations, resource links and access to subscriber-only Lives. You can make perks available to all paid subscribers, annual and founding subscribers, or founding subscribers only. The feature is currently available on web publications rather than inside the Substack app.
✨ What is one perk you could create from something you already have?

Post your links to notes, chats, lives and articles and we will like, comment, and restack them.
