🕯️🔥🐉NOTES BOOST 9/10/2026
So yesterday, @Ciska Venter posted a note that just cracked me up no end. Hence the emojis...
Also yesterday I made sweet potato ice cream - looks like ice cream and tastes like ice cream but a little goes a very long way... Not sure if it's a dessert or an unusual dinner side dish.
@Abigail Ringger mentioned she makes pumpkin ice cream - so that's going on the list next - after all it IS pumpkin spice season how could I not?
I definitely feel it will be a staple because I like ice cream but the store-bought stuff just doesn't agree with my system these days. Not sure if it's because I'm saging as @Karen Langston says or the food supply has gone over the edge into not food category all together because I find more and more things I've eaten in my life simply aren't any longer edible for me.
Are you finding this too or do manufacturers where you live still make food with actual natural ingredients? (as opposed to being Frankensteined in a lab)

Let's talk about going live on Substack for a bit shall we?
Right up front - the only time I've gone live on Substack on my computer by myself it was a massive FAIL. But I have gone live with others successfully, starting with @Deborah Oppenehim last year back when you had to use the app to go live and couldn't schedule them. It's way better these days right?
I've been going live with @Tracy Nicholas on Thursdays for the last couple months. So, I've gotten to know what it's like to be on the guest side of things.
Because of my issues with going live alone - I often recommend people go live with a buddy and that led to ...
Yesterday @Carol Hudnell asked what the benefits of having a live buddy are.
Having someone go live with you gives you lots of advantages. (well maybe not LOTS but at least 4 I can think of right off the top of my head)
  1. You've got another person on the live in case things go sideways.
  2. You've got someone to watch the chat and drop your links for you
  3. You add to the number of people who get notified you're going live because both audiences get notified
  4. Your guest also can post the content on their publication
Going live with others is a great way to collaborate - and it's lots of fun. I heard from
@Soph Newman that @Tracy Nicholas and @Alli Gatlin went live and it was hilarious. Feeling like I missed out on all the fun, how about you? (or did you catch it?)

Hard to believe it's already Thursday but here it is. We'll be doing the Monetize Your Mission Mastermind this afternoon at 2pm mtn here: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/82173053137?pwd=LvWmj0jftv7dmZv7xB0lKcaarU1YHs.1&jst=2
The subject will be notes. Thoughts on writing them, how to schedule them (and then find them again once you have scheduled them) how to find the analytics both on the note and through the dashboard. And a fast way to analyze the data you've just gathered so that you can make meaningful decisions.
We will also talk about how the notes algorithm works - which is WAY different from how social media works.

Post your links to notes, chats, lives and articles here for boosting - and we will like, restack and comment where appropriate.
While it is not necessarily to subscribe or even follow others here it is nice if you at least like and comment where appropriate on a few notes after you drop your links. I know most you already do this - and some of you feel like you need to like and comment on all of the links - really you do not.
I love that the links list is growing - and you all have amazing things to share - if we all try and hit a few either from here or even just in the feed it will help everyone grow.
My main intention for these threads is to get everyone active ON Substack. This is just the doorway.
Go live regularly
Planning on going live soon
terrified of going live
somewhere between b and c
