Hi everyone!
I’m one of the co-founders of Dakota Subaru Experts. Tanner is the one you’ll usually see working on the cars day to day, but I’m behind a lot of what goes on in the background. I help build out the business, the systems, and now this community. This is something we’ve wanted to create for a while. We get calls and messages from people all over asking for help with their Subarus, and there’s only so much time in a day to get back to everyone one on one. So instead of turning people away, we wanted to build a place where people can come in, ask questions, learn how to diagnose things the right way, and not feel like they’re just guessing or throwing money at problems. The goal with this is to make it more than just a group. We want it to actually be useful. Somewhere you can learn, get better over time, and feel confident working on your car. I’ll be in here helping keep things organized, improving things as we go, and making sure you’re getting the most out of being here. If you haven’t already, go introduce yourself in General Discussion. I’d love to see what you’re working on.

What’s up guys… I’m Terry 👋🏼
I’ve been working on Subarus for 25+ years, including 10 years at Subaru dealership. I’ve seen just about every common issue these cars have. I’m here to help you diagnose problems and point you in the right direction so you’re not just throwing parts at it. If you’ve got an issue, post it in the group with as much detail as you can, I’ll do my best to help. 👍🏻

Hey guys 👋🏼 I have a 2013 Subaru Outback with 227,xxx miles, located in Bismarck, ND. I recently bought it and it was running fine at first, but after about 200 miles I got a check engine light, “at oil temp light”, along with a evap code & a code for the transmission. Here are the codes: P0441, P0971 I also attached a few photos and a video of the engine running. Any help is appreciated! 🙏🏻
