Before and after (a few years later)
My first go at stump embroidery had a lot of mistakes. First I chose the wrong color felt as a base. I also didn’t understand that the edges of the felt should be slightly exposed. I thought variegated sashiko thread would look good for the leaf, and I definitely didn’t understand how the black part of the pansy looks in real life. Fast forward to a few years later and loads of flower making later, I had it down pretty well.
