Why I Bought an Ice Machine
My cost on ice last year was ~$900 on ice alone. This year so far is ~$1500. This amount was 98% 20lb bags at $3.88 a piece. It was all purchased tax exempt.
Considering the time it cost alone to get ice from my normal store, driving there and sometimes wasting for them to fill the machine or get me the ice or of the back- it was a grocery store, I decided to look at ice makers.
I started searching for an ice machine in this combined range of $2500-$3000. I found on VEVOR that I could buy a machine that would make 360lbs a day and hold 300lbs in the chest for $1000.
I bought this brand because all the ones on Webstaurant were twice the price and all had awful reviews. I'm setting it up now and will post updates. By this time next year it should have more than paid for itself!
