It’s not procrastination… it’s fear. 🎨💜
My newest YouTube video is up, and this one is for anybody who keeps saying:
“I’ll create later.”
“I just need more time.”
“I need to get motivated first.”
“I’ll finish it when I’m in the mood.”
But honey… sometimes it’s not procrastination.
Sometimes it’s fear.
Fear of messing it up.
Fear of not liking what you make.
Fear of finishing it and realizing it still doesn’t feel good enough.
Fear of being seen.
Fear of proving to yourself that you actually do care about creating again.
In this video, I’m talking about why we avoid the creative thing we say we want to do — and how that avoidance is often our nervous system trying to protect us, not proof that we’re lazy or unmotivated.
So before you beat yourself up for not creating, I want you to watch this.
Because the goal is not to shame yourself into making something.
The goal is to feel safe enough to begin again.
Watch the video here:
Then come back and tell me:
What creative project have you been avoiding — and do you think it’s really procrastination, or could it be fear?
No judgment. We’re just being honest with ourselves over here.
