Does anyone remember Zines?

Zines aren’t anything fancy. They are handmade booklets that people can create with supplies they have on hand. I made one yesterday out of a very loose background painting and then was inspired to sketch some bluebirds on each page. It’s the first thing I’ve done just with fun in mind after the Creative Reset. I really enjoyed the whole process. The messy folds, the wobbly writing, the imperfect sketches that were just for the fun of creating, just for myself. It felt like I could take a full, deep breath again. I know that I’m still going to face creative ups and downs, but having a point of reference for where I do want to be and how I do want to feel will help me in the down times.
