Ever notice kids don’t “go online” anymore? They live there
Friendships don’t pause after school, questions don’t wait for tomorrow and boredom barely exists long enough to become imagination, it gets solved in seconds. Childhood used to be shaped by the neighborhoods, now it’s shaped by the algorithm.
So kids are growing up faster in some ways, they know more, connect more, navigate digital worlds effortlessly.
However, slower in others, patience, resilience and deep focus don’t get as many reps. Technology didn’t ruin childhood. It redesigned it.
The real debate isn’t screen time vs no screen time…
It’s whether we’re teaching kids to control their tools or letting the tools quietly raise them.
What differences do you see around you?
Do you think children today are "growing up differently" because of technology? How?
