What if I told you that most of your “wants” aren’t really yours?
This week we’re diving into how companies skillfully nudge, tempt, and sometimes straight-up manipulate us into buying more than we need. From emotional branding to clever marketing psychology, we’ll unpack what’s really going on behind that “Add to Cart” button. We’ll also explore the hidden costs of overconsumption, not just the environmental impact, but the mental load too. Cluttered spaces. Decision fatigue. That weird post-purchase regret. And of course, we’ll look at the movements pushing back against all of this and rethinking what “enough” really means. How often do you shop online compared to in physical stores? And do you notice a difference in how you feel when you buy something in each?
What if I told you that most of your “wants” aren’t really yours?

No live sessions for the next two weeks
Hi everyone, I am going away to visit my family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 so we will not have any lives. I really encourage you to do the daily task, as little and often is a good way to do things! 🧠 Sorry about this ❤️

I really enjoy eating at restaurants because it’s so convenient, especially on busy days when I don’t feel like cooking. I usually order pizza or sushi since they’re my favorite foods and I never get tired of them. I normally go with my wife, and it’s something we both enjoy doing together. Eating out is quite common in my country, although it can sometimes be a bit expensive depending on the place.

I usually cook every day, even if it’s just something quick. On Sundays, I like to prep my lunches for the whole week and keep them in the fridge. I cook for both me and my wife, which I actually enjoy. My favorite thing to make is barbecue. And honestly, I don’t usually have much trouble in the kitchen, cooking feels pretty natural to me.
Day 1 – Your Favourite Meal 🍝
Hi there, my wonderful community! 💗 This week, our theme is Food 🍕🍲🍰 I would love you to record an audio/video OR write a comment (as much or as little detail as you like) about your favourite meal. Please try to include: 🍽️ What is the meal? 🌍 Is it from your country or somewhere else? 👩‍🍳 Who usually makes it? ⏰ When do you normally eat it? Optional bonus: ❤️ Why do you love it? Short sentences are perfect. Simple English is powerful. Mistakes are welcome 💛 Let’s have a delicious week together 😄✨

Honestly, nothing beats a good barbecue. It’s definitely a staple here in my country, and there's just something special about being the one to actually fire up the grill and cook it myself. I usually save it for the evening, it’s the perfect way to wind down. I love it because the flavor is absolutely amazing, but more than that, it’s about the vibe. There's nothing better than hanging out with friends while the food is prepping.
