For the longest time, I thought trauma was something you were born with and that was that.
I was wrong.
Trauma isn’t just what happens in childhood or some deep mysterious thing only therapists talk about. It’s simply unprocessed emotions, feelings you never got to fully experience or express when something painful happened.
Not everyone has trauma.
Some people are lucky enough to avoid those moments.
Others have gone through tough experiences but managed to heal them naturally over time.
Even I, as a trauma and mental health coach, have some unhealed parts I’m still working through, and that’s okay.
Healing is a process.
