Day 5
Today’s sketch is a little different.
This time I also took a photo of the linework before filling in any blacks. If this design ever becomes a tattoo, I’ll already have a clean version ready to use as the stencil.
I’m still inspired by the Witch-king of Angmar’s helmet, but with each sketch I’m trying to move a little further away from the original and let the design develop its own identity.
One thing I’ve noticed during this challenge is that repetition really helps. Drawing the same subject over and over isn’t boring—it forces you to solve new problems every day.
Question for you: When you revisit the same subject, what changes first? The silhouette, the details, or the way you use black?

Dia 5
El boceto de hoy es un poco diferente.
Esta vez también le hice una foto al dibujo antes de rellenar los negros. Así, si algún día este diseño acaba convirtiéndose en un tatuaje, ya tendré una versión limpia lista para utilizar como calco.
Sigo inspirado por el casco del Rey Brujo de Angmar, pero con cada boceto intento alejarme un poco más de la referencia y dejar que el diseño encuentre su propia identidad.
Una cosa que estoy comprobando con este reto es que la repetición funciona. Dibujar el mismo tema una y otra vez no es aburrido; te obliga a resolver problemas diferentes cada día.
Pregunta para vosotros: Cuando retomáis un mismo tema, ¿qué es lo primero que cambia? ¿La silueta, los detalles o la forma de utilizar el negro?
