Had one of my biggest weeks for the Mason Home Builder account earlier this month. Wanted to give a breakdown of the analytics and how much the payout was. Analytics (2 week period) - 32 million impressions - 389k engagements - ~7k new followers Payout: $1,300.41 That boils down to about $0.04 per 1,000 impressions Over 90% of the impressions came from just 3 posts (second screenshot is my top posts for the period - keep in mind the numbers shown are in total, so these posts accumulated more views after the pay period ended, so the numbers add up to more than 32m here) A few lessons: - Even though I posted 50 times, only 3 posts really ended up mattering - Momentum is key. Was so much easier to go viral once I already had a different post going viral. Lots of new followers were ready to engage with my next post. - Payouts are still low compared to the total effort. Super happy I got $1,300, but I probably spent 20 hours for that money. When you count up all the additional time building up the account while not getting paid much, it's a low hourly rate. That's why it's hard to make good money just from X payouts. You'd have to be going viral every single day to achieve that. That's why I always think of the X payout as a nice little bonus on top of my client writing business.
