Quick content tip for anyone who feels like they’re always posting the same thing:
Try splitting your content into 4 simple buckets. 1. What you sell - Show the product, service, result, offer, menu item, appointment, guide, package, or finished work. 2. Who you are - Show the person, team, story, personality, values, humour, behind-the-scenes, or reason you started. 3. Why people should care - Share tips, transformations, reviews, examples, customer questions, common mistakes, or helpful advice. 4. What happens next - Tell people how to book, buy, enquire, visit, message, follow, save, or come back later. That’s it. A lot of businesses get stuck because they only post bucket 1, then wonder why things feel repetitive. People need to know what you offer, but they also need to trust you, understand you, and know what to do next. Have a look at your last 9 posts. Are you using all 4 buckets, or have you accidentally been living in one of them?

Not every post needs to be a masterpiece. Honestly, some of the best content is just the stuff happening right in front of you — the messy desk, the fresh order, the before-and-after, the customer question you answer every week, the thing that made you laugh, the tiny “behind the scenes” moment you nearly didn’t post. A lot of people get stuck because they’re trying to create the perfect post, with the perfect caption, at the perfect time, with the perfect lighting… and then nothing gets posted at all. Sometimes the post you nearly don’t bother with is the one people actually connect with most. So here’s your little nudge: what’s one simple thing you could post today that shows the real side of what you do?

2 words... Market research! When I hear this, naturally I think of scrolling for hours trying to find someone who does things the exact way that I do, but I was wrong! Your competitors can actually be one of the best places to get content ideas — as long as you’re not copying them. Have a quick look at 3 businesses similar to yours and ask: What posts are people commenting on? What do customers seem excited about? What are they showing really well? What are they not talking about at all? That last one is usually where the opportunity is. Sometimes standing out online isn’t about doing something completely new — it’s about noticing what everyone else is missing and showing it in your own way.
