Hello, so I ended up getting logged out of my account on Skool, and I procrastinated do anything about until today when I decided I needed advice on something. I’ve been having trouble with my art recently, me, myself, and I, have all agreed that I’m downgrading in my art skills. I have no idea why but it’s concerning me not knowing how to fix it, and it’s starting to make art not as enjoyable. I have three examples of art I did recently but something just feels off about them, if you have any suggestions I’d greatly appreciate them :,). Side note, the dog was a calibration and all I did was color and render the piece.

Interesting study today! Hands are definitely very challenging for me, mostly because I haven't drawn enough of them yet. While i was about to give up for the day, besides the shape, I began studying my actual hand and noticing a few things about it and the approach. Would it be “wrong “ or odd to think about applying a hint of contrapposto here when constructing the fingers? I found they started to look much more believable!?🤔

these are still WIPs but I can’t land on what kind of line art I like better but I’d thought I’d introduce my character, Kurt Sweet. I’m not sure if I’ll nominate him for the challenge yet but he applies for Everyman or Lover. But he isn’t a main character so there’s not much he applies to the story, aside from supporting the main characters and his backstory is probably the character that resembles life experience the most, because he grew up in Davenport Iowa in a trailer park before he started a band in Chicago Illinois. And didn’t really fit in because he never grew much taller than 5’6. Born August 5th, 1983. And yes, this IS the same universe that my cowboys are in. The world they live in is just very divided because of their government. Not a side by side comparison, but I thought I’d draw him 20 years older than he is in the first picture incase I end up using him, post apocalyptic but a rather bittersweet ending, since he’s an amnesiac. I’ll try to fix up the piece if people like him lol.
