February song drop!
Alrighty, song #2 from @Benny D and I. This one was fun! Benny hit me up with less than 24 hours notice that he was going to be in LA and wanted to get a song done. I jumped out of bed and produced a beat really quick... wasn't sure what Benny would think. Benny showed up to the Skool office and CRUSHED the vocals in like 45 min. Then he bounced. Poof. That was almost two years ago! Time is flying. Thanks so much for listening, we appreciate all the support. We see the numbers move when we post here, so you guys are helping a lot! Play the song here ❤️

How Vocals Can Transform a Track 🎵
I’ve been thinking a lot about how tracks evolve from a rough idea into a full song. One thing I’ve noticed is that layering vocals, even just a simple topline or demo, can completely shift how a track feels. Vocals aren’t just an “add-on.” They can: - Highlight the emotion behind a chord progression - Reveal parts of the arrangement that might need adjusting - Give energy and focus to a section that feels flat - Inspire new melodies or changes you wouldn’t have thought of otherwise Sometimes, just hearing a vocal idea over a track helps everyone involved understand its full potential, even before a song is fully produced. I’m curious: for those of you creating music, do you usually hear a vocal idea in your head while working on a track, or do you prefer leaving it open and letting it evolve naturally?
