More Than Words
In 2019, I created a course called More Than Words.
I had figured out how important the words we use are, even simple things.
For example: I had a boss once who’s computer password was PITA (Pain In The A$$).
Coincidentally (or not), he had sciatica problems (which as a literal pain in the ass).
Perhaps, that is part of why Florence Scovel Shinn’s work struck me so profoundly. It wasn’t that she was teaching me something new, but she was saying things I already knew in a simple but striking way.
Perhaps that is also why I keep going back to this book. It is filled with wisdom that I want to keep front of mind, that I want to remember.
You don’t need to have read anything yet. You don’t even need to have a copy of the book.
