The Power of a Simple Image that represents your Desire
In 2021, my partner spent 10 days in the ICU. He was told to take care of anything important soon because he only had 6-9 months left. We moved out of our tiny home on wheels into a house in my home state, so that my daughters and I would have a support system when the time came. That’s when I found the book The Game of Life and How to Play It. I listened to it on repeat for months. There was something about the beautiful words that sank in and gave me peace. During that time, my biggest desire was that he would live. I created an image in mind that would mean he was better. It was short and simple. At bedtime I held that image in mind. I repeated the short scene over and over. I kept it close in mind throughout the day and pictured it often. Probably thousands of times. In it he says “I feel great, I’ve never felt better.” One day, he said those exact words, just the way I had imagined. (Five years later, he’s still doing well). This week in Living the Game of Life we’ve been looking at chapter 1 of The Game of Life and How to Play It. I shared that visualization process. Tonight in our live call, we will be going deeper into the creation of the visualization. Everyone will leave the call with a short scene that represents that their big desire or goal has already become reality. Want to join us? You don’t have to have read the book (although I highly recommend that you do). I’m so excited for this call!

@Sandra Pilarczyk Thank you! It was definitely a profound moment for me. We had a great response to the practice on our call last night. It’s certainly not a new idea, but sometimes hearing different experiences of it helps it take hold.

⚠️ SPAM RISK SCORE: HIGH
Hey everyone! So I’ve got something a bit new on Skool that I wanted to share with you all. I just received my first high-risk spam score notification about a person requesting to join our CyberBiz Mall community. This is a first for me, so I thought I’d loop you all in! Basically, this person is from Joe’s community, and I’m curious if anyone here knows them or can vouch for them. I want to make sure we keep our space safe and friendly, so if any of you, especially @Joseph Groom , have any insight, let me know if I should let them in or if we should hold off. Thanks for the help as always! Edited: So usually, when I see a profile that raises any red flags, I just block them right away because I really want our community to stay safe and spam-free. My goal is to make sure nobody here has to deal with random DMs or people trying to sell them something out of the blue. In this case, the person’s bio literally says “DM me if you want visibility,” which is a big red flag for me. Also, they’re from Lagos, and while there are a lot of talented IT folks there, we’ve been warned that it’s a hotspot for certain types of spam activity. So I just wanted to let you all know that I’m going to go ahead and block this one to keep our space comfortable for everyone. Thanks for understanding!

Part of the issue is that they list their location as one place, but it’s registering as a completely different location (which is usually in Africa). I don’t think they’re being flagged just from being in Africa, but from trying to pretend they’re not. I have two requests right now that I’m sitting on because of this. I don’t want to decline someone that might be genuine, but I don’t want to let in scammers. I should probably just decline and not worry about it, but I’d feel bad to wrongly assume.
The Game of Life - Book Experience
We’re just a couple of hours away from The Game of Life Book Experience. (January 12th at 7pm CST) Today is a welcome, setting intentions and expectations. You don’t have to have anything read to join us today (really, you will get a lot out of the group even if you choose not to read the book at all). This won’t be your typical book club. It’s a short book, and yet we’re going to exploring it together over the next 12-weeks. My intention is for our group to embody the teachings of this beautiful book (not just read the words). We’re looking for something deeper than an aha moment. We’re aiming for tangible transformation in your life. Join me in Living the Game of Life

The Game of Life - Book Experience
More Than Words
In 2019, I created a course called More Than Words. I had figured out how important the words we use are, even simple things. For example: I had a boss once who’s computer password was PITA (Pain In The A$$). Coincidentally (or not), he had sciatica problems (which as a literal pain in the ass). Perhaps, that is part of why Florence Scovel Shinn’s work struck me so profoundly. It wasn’t that she was teaching me something new, but she was saying things I already knew in a simple but striking way. Perhaps that is also why I keep going back to this book. It is filled with wisdom that I want to keep front of mind, that I want to remember. We start the 12-week Book Experience in the Living the Game of Life community tomorrow! You don’t need to have read anything yet. You don’t even need to have a copy of the book. Our Book Experience is like a book club where the aim is not just to read and understand the words, but to embody the wisdom. Join us!
