The Real Reason you're putting off learning a new language 🗣️
You're not struggling to learn a language, you're struggling to trust yourself. Hi, I am @Carlo Tassone and I am a founder of Linguists Society Community on SKOOL. ...and as I said: You're not struggling to learn a language, you're struggling to trust yourself. You may think the problem is motivation, but it’s not. It’s the thoughts running in the background: What if I sound stupid? What if I make mistakes? What if people don't understand me? What if I'm wasting my time? So instead of speaking, you wait. You study more. Watch another video. Save another resource. Look for the perfect method. Wait for confidence to arrive. But confidence doesn't come before action. It comes after. Confidence isn't speaking perfectly. It's trusting yourself to keep going when you make mistakes. To adapt. To learn. To recover from awkward conversations. To keep practicing even when progress feels slow. The question isn't, "How do I avoid mistakes?" It's, "Do I trust myself to learn from them?" When you trust yourself, speaking becomes easier. Not because the fear disappears, but because you know you'll be okay no matter what happens next. But don't not speak. You'll speak faster failing, then you will afraid of making a mistake and not speaking at all. So start speaking today. In the mirror. With a person you know.
