Editing Videos
For me, a major bottle neck is editing videos, at least non-talking head videos. I'm talking action type videos I do like when I'm driving truck, working out, or on vacation. Things that are sort of one-offs and not necessarily something I can assign to a team member with an SOP. Eventually, I hope to hire a skilled video editor who can learn me and my story telling and slide in to that role, but for now, it's on me.
I spent this weekend going through and editing clips from my most recent days driving dump truck. I made some full videos, but also am compiling a library of different clips that I can incorporate in to future videos, especially as b-roll (loading truck, going on scale, shifting, unloading, etc.). I especially like me Insta 360 X5 and AcePro2. I have to use the Insta 360 studio app for initially editing the 360 clips, but then I prefer Cap Cut if at all possible. I'm learning Final Cut Pro, but it's not as intuitive to me as Cap Cut.
I also spent the weekend going through, trimming, and then compiling clips from my family camping trip this summer. Most of these videos were taken on the X5. I'm not entirely sure why the end quality seems grainy on youtube, but it does the job. This, again, I like editing in Cap Cut. My process is basically get all the clips ready, compiling them, and then trimming, trimming, trimming.
