This week’s Kindness Without Performance asks us to make room for courage.
Courage that helps us tell the truth, hold a boundary, change our mind or rest before we have given too much of ourselves away.
Self-kindness can take courage because the kindest choice is not always more giving. Sometimes it's being honest about what we can offer and what we feel comfortable with. Saying no even when you feel pressure.
Sometimes it means letting our own needs be important too.
Courage may look like a pause before an automatic yes, a breath before a difficult sentence, or a hand over your heart while you decide what is true for you.
Take this to your journal:
Where would a little courage make kindness more honest this week?
feel free to share a word or reflection about what courage means to you.
