Wordcore - Croozling
Today’s Wordcore word is Croozling - snuggling down under a blanket or duvet to stay warm and cosy. Apparently it comes from old Scottish dialect, which feels rather perfect because I’m Scottish, and I do love a good croozle under a blanket. This week we’re exploring gratitude in ordinary moments, and I think croozling fits that beautifully. Sometimes gratitude is not a grand thing. Sometimes it’s an extra five minutes under the duvet!

Wordcore - PERSPICIENCE.
Perspicience means the ability to notice or perceive something with clarity. It felt like such a beautiful fit for this week’s gratitude theme: Small joys, big medicine. Because some of the things that help us most are not dramatic. They do not arrive with fanfare. They arrive quietly, almost hidden inside ordinary life. A deep breath, the moment you notice something beautiful. A pause in your day that softens you. Just something small and lovely that brings you great reward - to me its, journaling, beach walks, my new love of humming. Sometimes the medicine is not in something bigger.Sometimes it's in having the clarity to notice how much it helps. That's what I love about this word.It reminds me that gratitude is not always about adding more. Sometimes it's about seeing more clearly. Journal starting line: Something small that held more medicine than I realised was… Save this word for the week and see what becomes more visible when you slow down enough to notice it.

Wordcore - GLIMMER (glim-mer) noun
This week’s Wordcore word is GLIMMER. A glimmer is a small moment in your day that brings joy, peace, comfort, or gratitude. It feels like such a fitting word for our first theme in The Way of Gratitude: Noticing What Is Already Here. Sometimes we think gratitude has to be big, obvious, or deeply profound. But often it begins somewhere much smaller. In a flicker of relief. In a quiet comfort. In a beautiful ordinary moment that reminds you life is still here, still offering something, even now. A glimmer might be: - the light through the window - your first sip of coffee - a song you needed - a calm breath - a moment of stillness - a feeling that, for one second, something softened That is where I think this week begins. Not with forcing gratitude, but with noticing. Journal starting line: Something small that met me today was…
