Open Page - Today’s gentle prompt: Is there something in your life you need to be more honest about before forgiveness can begin?
A little behind the scenes from me today 🤍
This week I’ve been working on a poem for a new poetry collection called Odyssey.
The poem is about depression, and looking at that with love and forgiveness.
I’ve been thinking a lot about forgiveness, and the more I sit with it, the more I feel that honesty has to come first.
Honesty with ourselves about how we really feel.
Because without that honesty, I don’t think there can be true forgiveness. For ourselves or for others.
Forgiveness is telling the truth, and still meeting that truth with love.
That’s where my mind has been this week.
