You’re not lazy—you’re under-systemed. Procrastination is usually experiential avoidance (avoiding a feeling now that costs you later). Build simple systems and you’ll move—no matter how you feel.
✍️ Core Lesson
Leila’s 3-step framework:
- Name the cause: You’re avoiding a feeling (not a task).
- Spot the 3 emotions:
- Swap cycles: Trade productive procrastination (busy with easy stuff) for productive failure (imperfect action → learn → adjust).
✅ Today’s Challenge (15–30 minutes total)
1) The Avoidance Audit (5 min)
- Write the ONE thing you’ve been avoiding.
- Under it, finish this sentence: “I’m actually avoiding the feeling of ____.”
2) Pick the Head You’re Facing (2 min)
- Which one is it? Anxiety / Rebellion / Boredom
3) Match the Mini-System (10–20 min)
- If Anxiety:
- If Rebellion:
- If Boredom:
4) Close the Loop (2 min)
- Write one line: “What I tried → what I learned → my next tweak.”
🧘 Daily Meditation Tie-In (2 lines)
Before you start, play Intention for the Day and repeat:
“I act despite discomfort. I choose progress over perfect.”
🧩 Simple Systems You Can Keep
- 15-Minute First Bite: Start every work block with 15 minutes on the one avoided task.
- Two-Day Rule: You can miss a day, never two in a row.
- Friction Audit: Make the first step stupid-easy (pre-open doc, template email, single-click record).
- Reps Tracker (Inputs > Outputs): Count calls, drafts, minutes—not sales, likes, or pounds.
Day 4 Challenge: Reflect & Share
Pick one of these to answer in the comments 👇
- What emotion have you really been avoiding?
- When did you choose action over avoidance today?
- How did facing it change how you feel?
- What truth or lesson showed up for you through the discomfort?
- How might this small act ripple through the rest of your week?
