A gig is worth 100 practices
I had a four hour gig last night downtown where I was the only main guitarist so I had to do all the embellishments and parts and stuff like that. And I realized after recording it and listening back. What I practiced for the last several weeks did not come out at all in the live gig. How many of you guys play out live and notice this phenomenon as well or do you seem to be able to find a nice balance with playing what you’ve practiced compared to what you are reacting to?

New Assignment/ Challenge
In the section of post your favorite players on the board here I want everyone to list where your from and who are the best guitarists, or even musicians in General in your area because I want to interview them. So the Shawn Lane of Piano and a fellow Memphian that Shawn talked about in his videos was Phineus Newborn Jr! This guy could really play!
