RCS presentation reflection
This past week I had the privilege to speak in front of personal trainers, PT's, nutritionists, doctors, and even non-medical professionals all in the same room. An entire group all with a shared common interest: actively participating in a passionately health-focused community all driven to elevate the value provided to our clients and audience. An incredibly enriching environment buzzing with an energy that's palpable. I've been to many conferences in the health space, but this is easily the most raw and authentic one I've been part of (even as a casual observer in the past). It's called the REAL Coaches Summit for a reason. You get real actionable value-adds you can implement immediately into your business. It might be a concept, a principle, an AI tool, or at the very least, a motivational push to level up in some way. Last year, when I was first asked to speak I was intimidated and almost backed out. Imposter syndrome got me down. But I knew that committing to this would force me to do a few things: - Step out of my comfort zone and do something challenging for myself. Growth doesn't come from staying in the comfort zone, so I made the commitment to do it knowing it would force me to level up. - Ensure I know what I'm talking about, but more importantly how to deliver valuable information in a digestible way (tough to do with some of these mechanisms). A self-check of how well I can communicate this information is what I was after. Understanding it myself is one thing, but effectively communicating that information to someone else is another. - Be less of an introvert. Network, speak to people in-person and not behind a screen. - Place myself in a position that allows opportunity to flow both to me or through me, for someone else to benefit. I am always looking for ways to learn more, expand professionally, and bolster the core reasons I am in this space to begin with. This opportunity succeeded in checking all those boxes. I'll be back again next year, that I'm sure of.

Congrats Kraig!
Sharing a client win here. Kraig competed yesterday, entering in both Men's Physique and Classic Physique - this was his CP debut and he walked away with an overall in both!! We'll be dialing him in more for Nationals here in 5 weeks in an attempt to win his pro card. 😎 The side by side photos are from 6/20 to 11/7

Back to logging!
After a hiatus I am looking forward to logging regularly. Life has been a bit hectic but I’d rather be here consistently to provide even more value to a select group of awesome people. Catch me up on your goals, on your progress, and how you’ve been below!!
IGF-1, GH, & E2
Hey everyone! Apologies for being MIA here. I've been doing some deep dives on Growth Hormone, Estrogen, and IGF-1. I have been putting together a social media post and will likely be hosting a clinical behind the scenes, but I wanted to share a piece of what I'm working on just because, well, I find it kinda cool lol. Here's an example of the role estradiol plays for GH : IGF-1 expression. These are my personal lab values. As you can see, a higher estradiol value yields a higher IGF-1 value in the serum. When estradiol is suppressed it won't yield as much IGF-1 from the liver, indicating how much control the estradiol has over the IGF-1 expression. Does this mean you should chase the highest estrogen values? No. But certainly limiting your estrogen by any means wouldn't be ideal either. Which likely tells us that there's a happy medium here somewhere and finding that will be very specific to the individual. What you might find interesting is that the dose of GH I was taking never changed throughout the entire duration between these two lab draws (February to June). What should also be considered is that while there are serum values we can find that give us a proxy of GH, I don't think we should simply aim to chase the highest IGF-1 values, but rather use it as suggested- a proxy. Using this to correlate biofeedback that's both subjective and objective. Perhaps for another conversation, during the time when my IGF-1 was the highest, I wasn't necessarily experiencing the greatest growth- in comparison to where I am now, with my IGF-1 values being slightly lower. What's likely contributing the most to this likely has more to do with total androgenic load (mg dose) overall.

Joining the Navy at 40
So long story short I can’t take my trt to boot camp and I am hypogonadal what should I take and how long should I take it to get back to natural t levels so I don’t crash to zero in boot camp. And can I pct while taking trt? I don’t have a date yet as I’m just getting paperwork together and getting prepaired to go to MEPS they could turn me away because I was type 2 diabetic the recruiter said I have a 60/40 chance of getting in
