A Fresh Auction
One of my UK colleagues, Andrew Richardson of Richnoddy Stamps, has launched his inaugural auction. I wouldn't normally make a point of it, but I can recommend him as a seller and see no reason why he won't be successful with his auctions. Well worth a look https://www.easyliveauction.com/auctions/?ah=c1b91343f7e99db79cc4debca8c3b932
Blocking Sellers
As far as I'm aware, Delcampe is the only platform that allows a buyer to block a seller, and I've got a long blacklist! Sellers who find it impossible to present a clear image are top of my pile. If you hover over an image, a heart and three dots appear. Click on the dots and a drop-down menu appears giving you a range of options, the last of which is "Hide the Seller's Items". Click on that and another drop-down appears. If you select "Not Specified", the seller isn't informed that they've been blacklisted. Select any other option, and they will be informed, but they won't be told who blacklisted them. A very handy tool to filter the rubbish out of your feed

Blocking Sellers
Alphabet Soup
For many years, there's been a difference in opinion on how to describe stamps. It's pretty much a US versus the world thing, MUH (mint unhinged)/MNH (mint never hinged), MH (mint hinged)/Unused and so on. Occasionally you come across sellers that seem determined to muddy the waters, when all they should be trying to do is communicate the stamp's condition as clearly and succinctly as possible. This Hipstamp seller has reached new levels of making stuff up, and I haven't seen anyone else using most of these "abbreviations" all of which he crams into the title, not the description. I know him and he is a man who cannot be told, but I urge everyone else to use the KISS principle when selling. F-VFVVLHOG = Fine-Very Fine Very Very Lightly Hinged Original Gum (or to me, MLH) HOG = Hinged Original Gum (or to me, MH) UVLH = Used Very Lightly Hinged (or to me, Used) HNG = Hinged No Gum (or to me, MNG) HDG = Hinged Disturbed Gum (or to me, MH) Now, this guy is a professional, not a newbie, so I don't know if he's going out of his way to look clever or just being obtuse. Instead of focusing on the stamp, I found myself trying to decipher his new made-up descriptions. Please don't be like him!

Repeat Buyer status
This is a lovely little feature on eBay that can help build ongoing relationships. In your orders list, "repeat buyer" will appear under the customer's name if they've bought from you more than once. Click on the buyer's name and one of the options is to send a coupon, which I do when a customer reaches a certain dollar value in multiple purchases. They get a freebie, you recognise their custom and they keep buying.
