🧵 From wonky yarn ball to quilt squares — progress, not perfection 😅
So… I tried to up my crochet game recently. psst 😅
The plan: make a cute little gnome.
The reality: a weird, squishy ball with a very long tail of unraveled yarn. 😂
Clearly, crochet and I needed a break.
So now, I’ve started learning quilting — the paper piece method — and honestly? I’m kind of loving it.
It’s slow (because I’m hand-sewing instead of using a machine), but there’s something really calming about the rhythm of it.
Each stitch feels like a tiny act of patience. Each new piece that's added to the whole looks good and I feel good when I look at it.
And, I’m not rushing to finish...I’m just letting myself enjoy the process.
👉 Your turn: what’s something creative you’ve tried lately and maybe didn’t go quite as planned?
💬 Bonus round: Drop an emoji that sums up your last crafty attempt! If you have a pic, even bettter!
🧶 = “it kinda worked!”
🔥 = “send help, it’s on fire”
💪 = “nailed it (eventually)”
😂 = “we’re calling it abstract art”
