Many of our brothers still believe in the thoroughly debunked mainstream orthodoxy of Scientific Materialism which states that only physical matter is real and that Consciousness is merely an epiphenomena that arises from the brain - a kind of hallucination. There are numerous videos in 'The Nature of Reality' from Bernado Kastrup and others which prove scientifically, philosophically and even mathematically that this belief is not only false but completely nonsensical and absurd. That's on top of the basic common sense recognition that the ONLY thing we we ever know is consciousness ie our conscious experience. So if consciousness is just a hallucination then so is every aspect of human experience including the belief in Scientific Materialism!!! However I am well aware of how difficult it is for people to let go of their false beliefs no matter how absurd they are. Just look at the people who believe in Woke or a Flat Earth. When your sense of identify is attached to a belief and a world view, acknowledging and accepting that that belief/world view is actually false feels like death - ego death to be precise - and thus it takes a very brave and mature human being to do so.
