People often see a contract award, a new client, a business milestone, or a social media post announcing a win.
What they don't see are the hours spent preparing.
The research.The meetings.The revisions.The pricing discussions.The late nights reviewing documents.The opportunities that didn't work out.The lessons learned from losses.
I'm putting the finishing touches on a proposal today, and it reminded me that success is rarely one big moment. More often, it's the result of consistently showing up and doing the work long before anyone sees the outcome.
