I worked in Telcom as a software developer and systems integrator for more than 30 years until 2020 when Covid hit and I took a buyout. I'm also a musician, a travel enthusiast, bad golfer, and a lifelong learner. My passion for building, learning and discovery are the core reasons I started creating ScoutAbout. So, what is ScoutAbout? If you're an expert, creator, or just passionate about a topic, you've probably felt the pain of having your best content scattered across the internet—blog posts here, YouTube videos there, PDFs somewhere else. It's like a "leaky bucket" where your audience's attention and your potential opportunities are lost. When you include posts on social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook), platforms where your content has the shelf life of a slice of bread, it gets even worse. It makes it really challenging to turn followers into customers. ScoutAbout is being built to solve that. It's a platform designed to help you consolidate your expertise into a single, beautiful, and interactive digital guide. The goal is to move beyond static content and create immersive journeys that turn your followers into a dedicated community. Why This Community Exists (And Why You're Here) I'm currently deep in the initial development and launch phase, and I believe in building in public.
