Good morning!
I thought I would tell you all about myself and my family. I live in my hometown with my 5 kids whose ages are 22, 18, 12, 8, and 7. And my best friend, soon to be husband. Our two dogs Rick and Space Ghost, and our two cats Hecuba and Espiritu. We live in an old historic Citizens bank building. It sat abandoned on our Main Street for a pretty long time until I bought it and opened a coffee shop in it . There’s a vault here where I keep my herbs, I say they’re the real valuables. I get to carry on my Grandmothers work in this way, harvesting my herbs on the same mountain where she harvested hers. My bestie / husband is a traditional singer and drum maker. He supports a Sundance ceremony that we attend every year where he leads the drum. Last year prayers came in a hard way, and things got rough for us. My business got robbed and this old building was falling down, so that’s when we decided to move in and fix it up and turn it into a home. It was really the only option. So it’s different, but it’s home to us now. My other best friend, Ms. Amy, also owns a business. That’s how I met her. And Creator has been working some funny kind of magic ever since. Me and Ms. Amy, we seem to be kinda stuck with each other. Wherever I go, she ends up. And wherever, she goes, I end up. It’s not really like we picked each other, but more like Creator said we’ve got work to do together. And if I were to guess why I am here now in this time and place with these people whom I love so much, I think I would probably be correct when I say I know why. See, my hometown used to be a really hoppin little place. There was so much life and love here. But then things happened, and somehow, everyone just got tired. Everyone got sad. People started to forget what it was like when things are good here, and they started to move away. A sort of collective depression happened, and it stayed that way for a long time. Businesses closed up. It’s like the color even went away. Even I spent many years being sad. Until I decided to make a change and I bought this place and opened my business. Around that same time, Ms. Amy opened hers.

Good morning!
How do you deal with bullies?
In the course ”What is a Witch?” we learned about two big words, sovereignty and autonomy, and how when you understand the meaning of these two things and live as a sovereign and autonomous person, you don’t usually fit into people’s expectations. Have you ever heard the saying “dance to the beat of your own drum?”🥁 That’s what I’m talking about! Being brave and sure enough of who you are to be YOU! But some people only see that as ‘different’. Not like them. Not like most. Not like everyone else. And being uniquely you isn’t always easy. In that course we also talked about listening to your intuition and not just following along with the crowd and how sometimes that’s what keeps you out of trouble. How your intuition can help you make the choice that’s right for you, even if it means being the only one doing it. Well, today my son is dealing with this very thing. He has a friend who he has known since they were babies and all of a sudden that friend started making some bad decisions with a group of other kids and my son had to take a step back from their friendship to make better choices than the ones his friend was making. So instead of following along with crowd, he excused himself and he chose not to be around that group of kids anymore. Now his friend has turned into a bit of a bully. This gives us a chance to see an example of how the choices we make mold who we are. Because my son’s friend is a good boy in his heart. And I think what the choices he’s making are really showing us is that he doesn’t know how to handle his own hurt feelings or anger. He is a kid, just like my son. Just like you. But he is choosing to be a bully for some reason, and so he is a bully. I think this is the same for all bullies. So how DO you deal with a bully? Well…. First, always follow your intuition. Now here’s my advice. 🌲 Be like a tree in a storm. 1) Keep your roots strong. Know who you are, know who loves you and know who you can trust. That is your strength. 2) Stand tall. Keep your head high. Be proud of who you are. Love yourself. Don’t change and don’t apologize for being you. There is nothing wrong with you.

Bath time Water Magic!🛁🫧
Tonight we are in the waning phase of the moon. This is the first phase after a full moon and it means that the moon is shrinking into the new moon phase. It’s a great time to do spell work for releasing what does not serve us. 🧼Here’s a bath time ritual that you can practice anytime, but this moon phase makes the timing perfect. 💭Think about whatever is on your heart and mind that’s holding you back. Maybe you have a test coming up for school and you’re afraid you’ll fail. 📝 Get a pencil and some paper and start writing down all the beliefs of self judgement that keep you from achieving your best, for example: I’m not smart enough. I always get the answers wrong. Whatever your harsh feelings are, write them down. Take your time with it and really think while you journal. When you are done, prepare your bath and cast your circle. While you sit in the water, first ground yourself. Then begin your ritual by reading off each thing on your list and say out loud or to yourself, “I release the belief that I am not smart enough.” And pour a cup of water over your head. Imagine it washing away your harsh belief. Read the next thing on your list “I release the belief that I always get the answers wrong.” And pour another cup of water over head, again imagining it washing away your harsh belief. Go through your entire list and when you’re done, wash up and then step out of the tub and watch the water go down the drain. As it goes down, affirm your work by bidding it all farewell and speaking good things to yourself. “I am smart enough. I will get it right. Because I speak it, so it will be.” You can even do this in the shower if you don’t have a tub. Just let the water run over your head as you release what you no longer want, and let it wash down the drain. 🚿 Love yourselves Little Witches ❤️🧿

Plant of the week!
Lovely Lavender! This plant is a desert dweller. It’s a great drought tolerant addition to a garden and pollinators LOVE lavender. So much that it happens to be a major source for bees to make honey from. Here in New Mexico it loves our sun and dry sandy soil and it thrives where other plants fail. There are over 450 varieties of lavender that are used for food and medicine. Its name comes from the Latin word lavare meaning “to wash”, and if you know the clean crisp smell of lavender the name makes perfect sense. Because of this, along with its anti microbial and antibacterial properties it was and still is often used in soaps and bath products. It’s a member of the mint family, and like most members of the mint family it’s a wonderful insect repellent. It not only keeps bugs off of us, but it can help keep bugs out of your garden too. The history of humans using this plant goes back so far that we know the Ancient Egyptians used it in the mummification process and Ancient Romans valued it so much that they used it as currency, like money. Ancient Greeks used it to help them sleep and relieve back pain. And during the Bubonic plague it was used to ward off disease. These days we usually use it in teas or on our skin to help us relax, as that is what lavender is most well known for. But once you start to learn about this excellent plant you’ll find that it’s useful for much more. My website will be published soon, if you’re looking for a good place to purchase your lavender. I’ll have you covered! Then you can have some lovely lavender for your own home apothecary. Until next time Little Witches! Much Love and BE ELL! Tia Cruzita 🌱♥️

Weekend challenge! 🌎🌿🦶
It’s almost Friday! I have a challenge for my Little Witches. Mother Nature is such a beautifully stubborn lady. She refuses to stop giving. Where people try to control her and cover her up, she finds a way thrive and continue to provide. No matter where you live, you can find magical medicinal plants, EVERYWHERE YOU GO! So starting tomorrow, my challenge for you is to find and identify a plant. Pay attention to what’s growing in your yard, alongside the roads, even sprouting out of the cracks in sidewalks. A super easy way to identify a plant is to take some pictures and use google image search. Don’t bother the plant. Don’t touch or disturb it in any way, just say hello and observe. Notice every little detail, and take your pictures. Lots of plants that look like the plant you are trying to identify will come up. Once you think you have identified the plant, do lots of research to be sure. Remember, to identify a plant you have to look at the plant, as well as the environment the plant is growing in. Come back here on Monday to show me the picture of your plant and tell me about it. This is going to be super educational for me as well, because I will get to see what’s growing where you live! And I’ll share some of the plants that grow where I live. Let’s have some fun! See you Monday Little Witches!
