A lesson I learned

I was inspired to share this story with all of you after

post of a troll who was adding some nusty comments about her freebie.

Back in 2011 at the time I have been dismissed for 6 months from the Radio I was working as a full time journalist, after the 2008 financial crisis, I was desperately looking of how to make money online. I have joined a webinar offered by a well known to this day successful marketer who was teaching us how to leverage Twitter (Now X) to find leads.

The webinar was half way through when I posted inside the chat "We know this...already...can we move to the meaty part?" (Yes I was that kind of person).

The guy stopped the webinar when he saw my comment and he asked me "Lydia do you believe that you know this stuff? Please go and check your bank account because this is what you know" .

This hit me like a ton of bricks...but it's the most valuable lesson I've got and I am so thankful that he put me in my realistic position. To this day every time my ego jumps in and try to convince me that I know better I am checking my bank account compared to anyone who is teaching me at the time...and I am down to earth....
