Summer’s brilliance is beautiful — but it can leave us parched, inside and out. In Ayurveda, this is the season where soma, the cooling lunar nectar, is slowly burned away by heat, overexertion, and overstimulation. The body dries. The mind scatters. The heart can feel untethered. But there’s another way.
This week, I invite you to replenish your soma — that sacred, juicy essence that nourishes your cells and your soul. It’s the soft, feminine counterpart to fiery action. It’s what allows your inner world to stay lush.
Try:🌿 Fresh aloe vera juice in the morning🥥 Coconut water with a pinch of rock salt after time in the sun🍵 Cooling teas like coriander, fennel, rose, or mint
Personally, I begin my day with 2–3 cups of warm water to gently awaken my digestive fire. Then I sip on herbal teas throughout the day — tuning into how I feel and what I need. Kapha types might need less water overall, while Vata and Pitta types crave more hydration and ojas-building fluids.
☀️ Your turn, beautiful — how are you replenishing your soma this summer?
Let this be your reminder that if your energy levels are off it could be you need more hydration, don’t burn to shine.
With cool sips and gentle vitality,
Amrita Ma Devi 🌺
