Why we are here
I’m Joe, a retail pharmacist who got tired of feeling stuck on the treadmill. I studied for and earned my BCACP because I wanted options—and I still found myself behind the counter. AmCare RPh Masterminds is my way out and a place for anyone like me to build real exit velocity into consulting for independent family practice/primary care clinics. We’re here to learn, execute, and share what works (and what doesn’t) in public. What this is: - A build-in-public log of my journey from retail to running a family-practice-focused ambulatory care consulting business. - A peer group for BCACP/ambulatory-minded pharmacists who want to design and implement clinic services (CCM, TCM, AWV, med optimization). - A place to trade templates, scripts, compliance checklists, and outreach tactics—and pressure-test each other’s ideas. What this is not: - Not a pity party, not pharmacy-Twitter, and not guru-land. No venting without a concrete plan attached. - Not legal, billing, or medical advice. We will respect HIPAA, our employers, our patients, and the law. The mission: Create optionality. Replace “I can’t leave retail” with a simple operating plan: build skills, build assets, build a pipeline to local family practices. Do the reps until the math works.

Learning Your Script
1. Memorize the modules in order. (“Spine” of the script) 2. Memorize the one trigger line for each module. 3. Handwrite it twice. 4. Drill modules 1–3 out loud until smooth. 5. Memorize and drill the 3 objection replies. 6. Run 1-minute pressure drills with a timer. 7. Record, listen, score yourself. 8. Do 10-minute call reps daily. 9. Go live.

Thoughts on outbound cold open
Opening this up for discussion, I’ve got a cold script that I’ve been using for trying to get another location. Haven’t had much success, would love everyones feedback on what you think of the approach. Again, just for reference the target is independent family care practice. Hi [Office Manager’s Name], this is Joe Metz. I’m a pharmacist with RxImpact Solutions – we’re a group of clinical pharmacists that partner with small clinics. I know I’m calling out of the blue, so I’ll be very quick. The reason I’m calling is that we run a program that helps clinics capture additional Medicare reimbursements that are often overlooked. In a nutshell, we help *improve patient outcomes while maximizing your practice’s revenue, with no upfront cost to you. Out of curiosity, how are you currently managing programs like Chronic Care Management or other Medicare reimbursable services for your patients?
