Your challenge this month: pay attention to what you eat before, (during) and after your runs, and share an update once a week for 4 weeks. This is NOT about eating perfectly. Be honest and reflect! 3๏ธโƒฃ Everyone who posts all 4 updates will be entered into the monthly spot prize draw. ๐ŸŽ Prize: NeverSecond Fuel Package! TBD on what exactly ๐Ÿค• Injured, sick, or dealing with a niggle? Substitute your run with a walk and still log your fuel! ๐Ÿ‘‰ Drop your first log below once you're ready!

Do long legs equal long strides?
How many struggle with over striding? Being six feet two inches tall a misconception I had was long legs meant long โ€œstretch um outโ€ strides. Height can allow a longer stride, but trying to force stride length by reaching often increases braking forces and can overload the hamstrings, calves, feet, and ankles. Boy did I ever learn the hard way. I took November till February off to recover from hamstring issues. Iโ€™ve started focusing on propulsion with foot strikes under center mass. Shorter strides and quicker turnover is not natural for me, but I am working on it. I struggle once fatigue sets in to my old ways of reaching. I know it ironic to want quick or instant results without put effort in to making the change. You might think I picked the wrong hobby ๐Ÿ˜‚. I know it will take time and persistence, so here is my plan โ€œSLEDโ€ or Suck Less Each Day. What tips, drills or advice do yaโ€™ll have to help make this transition?
