In this devotional, we discover that your adoption into God's family wasn't an afterthought—it was part of His eternal plan before the world even began. You don't have to earn your place or prove your worth. Through Jesus, you've been welcomed into God's family exactly as you are. Find comfort in knowing that your adoption is firm and unshakeable, and that your identity as God's beloved child can never be taken away.
Reflection Questions:
- How do you typically define your identity? (By your roles, accomplishments, struggles, relationships?)
- What does it mean to you that God chose you for adoption before you could do anything to earn it?
- How does it feel knowing you're loved and accepted right now—not for who you'll become, but for who you are today?
Prayer Prompt:
Ask God to help your heart truly believe that you have a permanent place in His family. Thank Him for the security and rest that comes from knowing you belong to Him—not because of what you've done, but because of what Jesus has done for you.
