The Humility Revolution | Video Devotional | January 19, 2026
Philippians 2:3-4 - The Humility Revolution Key phrases: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition" / "Consider others better than yourselves" / "Humility isn't thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less." Devotional: In a world that screams "Look out for number one" and "You do you," Paul gives us a radically countercultural command: put others first. But here's the beautiful truth we often miss—humility isn't about self-hatred or thinking you're worthless. It's not grovelling or pretending you don't matter. True humility is freedom from the exhausting tyranny of self-focus. It's the liberation that comes when you stop constantly evaluating how you're doing, how you're being perceived, whether you're getting what you deserve—and instead turn your attention outward to the needs, value, and dignity of others. Jesus modelled this perfectly. He didn't think less of Himself—He knew exactly who He was. But He thought of Himself less, pouring out His life for us. When selfish ambition drives you, you're enslaved to your own ego. But when humility shapes you, you're free to love, serve, and see others the way God sees them. Reflection: Where is selfish ambition subtly driving your decisions—your career, relationships, or ministry? What would it look like to "think of yourself less" in that area this week? How might considering others' needs above your own actually bring you more joy and freedom than self-focus ever could? Prayer Prompt: Ask God to reveal the places where selfish ambition has taken root in your heart. Thank Him that humility isn't crushing—it's liberating. Pray for the grace to see others the way He sees them and for the freedom to put their needs ahead of your own, trusting that God will take care of you as you serve.

Verse of the Day - January 17, 2026
Ephesians 2:8–9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Reflection: Are you resting in God’s grace or striving in your own effort? Prayer Prompt: Thank God for the gift of salvation and grace.
