Bringing this post over from LinkedIn. If you’d like, please leave it some love as it is being suppressed—as expected. Today, the planet Mars makes what’s called a cazimi with the sun in Capricorn, which is when it passes right through the center point of our grand luminary, beginning a new cycle from our vantage point on earth.
Astronomically speaking, it’s literally nothing. We can’t see it from Earth for obvious reasons.
Astrologically speaking, combined with Capricorn’s unparalleled discipline, it signals a powerful reset for our planet of action, risk-taking, and resilience.
Symbolically… This is where I want you to take notes:
It’s time to move with strategy, intention, and courage. This is where this week’s murder by ICE agents in Minnesota comes in.
Real talk, It is truly in the best interest of my business to not speak up about the execution of Renee Nicole Good.
I am launching a program.
LinkedIn hates everything I say.
I don’t feel like blocking anyone today.
So why am I posting about her anyway?
Because justice is and will always be my business.
Because accompliceship is and will always be my business.
Because when a government crosses the line of demarcation between legality and lawlessness to execute any and all that stands in the way of their own interests, refusing to own this death as a critical error of their spun-out regime, as a wake-up call to the division that a president and secretary of homeland security are fueling with alternative narratives of a clearly-documented, broad-day murder…
…We are in big, big, BIG trouble.
True social impact can only extend as far as those with power and privilege are willing to reach out in our direction to reciprocate.
The sad part is, many privileged people will see this death as a warning, leaving millions of Black and Brown people to continue to fend for ourselves as anti-immigration, anti-Blackness and anti-inclusion sentiments continue to catch fire.
I don’t have a grandiose conclusion for this reflection.
I just need you to understand that our collective stories of vindication and reconstruction hold the keys to fighting back right now.
If you are not observing, reading, listening, and studying to discern what your role in society might need to be in the here and now, it’s time to start.
Accept that standing up for what is right in this moment could cost you your life, and that this sobering reality is not an excuse not to stand up anyway.
Nobody is free until everybody is free.
Act like you know.
Justice for this mother, partner, friend.
Justisce for the thousands of people that ICE has illegally detained, deported, and unalived.
Justice for the millions of descendants of enslaved Africans yet to see a dime of the trillions in free labor that built this country.
Justice for us all.
