I've been struggling with a lot of the things that this community is built on. I've felt run down, isolated, disconnected, and overwhelmed for a while. I think we all have trouble putting those feelings and their root causes into words sometimes. But I'm going to be open with you guys and I'm also going to try to do something about it.
Starting today, I am beginning a 7 day reset challenge for myself. My goal is for my nervous system to disengage out of red alert mode and to start feeling more like myself again. I'd like to share here what all I'm doing and how it is going as the week goes on.
I invite all of you to join me and if it goes well, maybe we can make this something we do together going forward. For me, sharing my journey with you all helps hold me accountable. For you, I hope this let's you know that you aren't alone in your battles and I'm right there with you. For all of us, I think some really great ideas and practices and progress can come out of it.
I'll post tomorrow how Day 1 went. My reset activities for today are 1. going on a walk (at the beach since it's nearby), 2. eating some comfort food at home, 3. making time to rest without guilt, and 4. an early bedtime tonight.
