#1: Heaps Coming...
Hey guys, I am working on some no bull shit content I never thought I would make, but wish I had 15 years ago. I am going to show you inside my own businesses and info I have never shared or taught - and never thought I would. I am going to show you how I build them from scratch or do deals to buy and sell them (closed on two new ones last week), how I make them profitable, the levers I pull to make more profits (but with the key being the user is even more happy, why I have cut many businesses even though making profits, how I get them ready to sell for top dollar. And how I learnt to systemise it. I still make mistakes, but different ones and still am learning. I am no guru or pro or anything. Just a bloke that has been running business in everything from finance to tech and even outdoors. I am obsessed with business as I love it. So I am just like you - but if you do a deal with me these days and walk away happy, it is because I made you think you won and we both got exactly what we want. Below I explain how I paid millions to learn how to do it. I currently own 4 businesses with a fifth that is being built - this hush hush fifth business has never been done this way which is why it will take a while to build. This is a long way my biggest investment in a new project. 7 sites, 100k+ custom pages and a lot of physical hires. It will be by far my biggest business and change a marketplace that people hate. More on that in another post, how I am building it etc I have rotated between running 2-10 businesses at a time over the years. I learned I could have 200+ businesses or a few that both make as much money. You soon learn 2 or 1,000 is the same as the systems repeat. The signs and patterns are all the same and levers the same. Honestly it becomes super boring having to check on businsses ticking over and all looked after but you could not care less about. For me if I dont think they actually help people or fix a problem, then I have zero interest which kills my thinking or planning for them. Ends up sucking for everyone.

My Exact Funnel
I have written and created so many funnels for so many businesses and it is rarely done. Segmenting someone (which is super easy) can improve open rates by 50%+ - guess it makes sense as they are actually getting what they want. For a super short period I am showing you my exact funnel for this current site to hopefully help you. Comment below if you have questions or need help. Check it out HERE.
#3: AI has changed and you are your team / business need to pivot
Noticed the big AI such as Chatgpt, Claude, Gemini etc etc are almost useless for questions / answers? You are not alone and this is not a random update glitch. AI is gearing to start showings ads in their answers, but in a HUGE way with strategies that are questionable at best. By the way, this is not a random paranoid conspiracy, if you ask the right questions they will openly admit it as I will show in a moment. Don't get me wrong I use AI a lot, but am also tweaking how I do. I have no issue with ads in AI. I was more pissed when originally AI would openly steal your content and give no credit or link. It has been playing with links and ads for a little while and research shows companies getting approved to run ads on these AI platforms are crushing it. Once again all good. Love when my ads crush it to. But now the bigger AI platforms are lowering their IQ levels and inputting strict safeguards. To please governments and others they need strict guidelines if going to run ads, but the problem is whilst their answers are getting more useless, the safeguards are honestly silly. I was testing a larger platform on the weekend and was asking it about common ethical sales strategies. All good generic answers. I then asked it about a tactic some marketers and sales people use and I hate. I am not going to name it, but simple way to very quickly get information from someone to know what to offer them. By legal, you would have this done to you most weeks and not know it. No trickery or anything. They threw up a big 'I am not going to discuss that' rubbish. I was pretty stunned. Left tab open and went to another large AI platform and asked why would anyone want their restaraunt named after someone like genghis khan? Some historians suggest he killed so many he reduced the worlds population by 11% I asked my 17-19 year old son and mates who genghis khan was. One answered the restaraunt and another a movie. AI's answer was this is human hubris and marketing. When I asked for it to explain the 'hubris' or funny part in mudering 40 million people it said I sounded triggered and listed life line numbers. Still had not told me any facts about genghis khan and was trying to make me feel like I was mentally challenged for even asking. As I will explain in a second it needs to hold veil of authority and if you test it, the pivot move is used.

#2: Learn this so you do not repeat what I did
My first business I loved, but boy did I leave so much money on the table as in millions. I was obsessed with the customer being happy. I personally replied to every single email, every forum post. I would charge small one time fee to buy a course, but then way over delivered as was obsessed with them being happy. They had a forum and I would email back and forth with some to help them hundreds of times. I was nowhere in 'the game', but I was getting paid and loved what I did. All I had to do was make some super easy tweaks. Tweaks like changing to monthly recurring pricing (just this skyrockets sale multiple), offer high ticket products - that delivered and members who bought loved. Offer something like a 10k group limited to 20 that have their own forum and we take weekly calls together. That would have been sold out instantly and no one would leave and these people would not even notice 10k going out. Just letting them meet 19 others playing at the high end pays for itself. 19 instant new high value contacts who meet and chat with every week. No brainer. I would be doing the same hours with both models, in fact often less, but this model makes people even happier and it clears 300k a month recurring. I learned so much selling that business. I walked away and was happy but really, really worn out. It was not until a year later I realised the millions I left on the table and how I had been taken to school by pros who bought it. Two days extra work setting it up and same hours, but at selling a 300k/month recurring business all managed is a very solid sale price. Many millions. It is as plain as nose on my face now, but then I had no idea. I went back and analysed every word, analysed every phone call, email etc how the buyers spoke, the cadence they used and how they cleverly structured the deal so I walked away feeling happy for pennies. I then studied the business that bought mine and looked at everything and how they did it etc etc. If you are going to pay millions for a mistake, you may as well learn from it.
