For me, it felt great to take my kids up to the nearby ski hill and get some work done while they were skiing. Food wise, that ski day was a fasting day for me. Intermittent fasting is something I practice, it’s helped me heal my insulin resistance and improve insulin sensitivity. Well, the kids went skiing and left their French fries on the table where I was working. French fries can be a trigger for me, cuz I love them. I took care of myself by covering up the French fries with a napkin and moving them to the other side of the table. It helped me to not feel tempted to eat them and I had a great fasting day! I broke my fast this morning with a big plate of veggies, humus for protein, and avocado for fat. It was delicious!
