I am curious if anyone has experimented with Seed Cycling? I have been incorporating pumpkin, sunflower, and hemp seeds into my diet for some time now, and recently began experimenting with the Seed Cycling protocol.
I am very much a rabbit, and a day without a salad is a sad day for me. I have been using the seeds as a topping and extra crunch in my salads. I have also added them to soups, and made dressings (better to soak them for this purpose)
I found that flax and sesame are better when ground. The research I have done says that freshly ground is better, so I use a bullet blender with the small container. Works perfectly.
I am wondering if any of you experimented with this long-term, and if you saw any benefits, especially when it comes to peri-menopausal symptoms?
Here is my recipe:
Phase 1 (Days 1-14 of cycle):
* 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
* 1 tablespoon raw pumpkin seeds
* 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
* Total: 2 tablespoons daily
Phase 2 (Days 15-28 of cycle):
* 1 tablespoon ground sesame seeds
* 1 tablespoon raw sunflower seeds
* 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
* Total: 2 tablespoons daily
