Beneath many men's poker face — of not showing hurt and of fearing vulnerability — lives a beautiful, innocent inner child simply wanting to be liked, seen, and heard, just like everyone else.
Often, these pains, fears, and desires are masked with a poker face or even an angry lashback of steely words and behaviours toward another who may be carrying the same wounds. Yet none of this erases the truth deep down — a quiet echo of a cry to be simply loved and cared for.
It’s amazing how tender the human species is, good at heart — and yet how often we don’t truly know ourselves, or dare to reveal our real selves to another.

✨ Gentle reflection for you: Have you noticed this tenderness beneath the surface — in yourself, or in men you’ve known?
