How do you handle the word "NO"?
In real estate, your success is measured by how you react when a door slams or a prospect hangs up. A "No" isn't a wall—it's a teacher. If you want to stay in this game long-term, you need to shift your perspective. Here are 5 powerful mindsets to adopt toward rejection: 1. A learning experience: Every rejection is a fresh case study. If you didn't get the listing, ask yourself: What can I learn from this conversation? 2. Negative feedback as a gift: A "No" is just data. It tells you exactly what needs to change in your attitude or approach to get a "Yes" next time. 3. A chance to use humor: Sometimes, the best way to handle a tough rejection is to smile and keep it light. It builds your emotional resilience. 4. Technical refinement: Rejection is the perfect gym for your sales techniques. Use it to sharpen your scripts and improve your overall efficiency. 5. A mandatory part of the game: You can't win if you don't play, and you can't play without hearing "No." It’s simply the "entry fee" for the big wins. Remember: The most successful agents aren't the ones who never hear "No"—they are the ones who aren't afraid of it.

What questions do you ask during a listing appointment?
Here’s my go-to "Discovery List" when I’m sitting across from a seller: - Timeline: How long has the property been on the market? - Strategy: What’s your current game plan? Are you only listing online, or are you working with other agencies as well? - Market Feedback: How many people have actually toured the home? (If they say "a lot" or "a few," always dig deeper for the exact number). - Quality of Leads: Out of those visitors, were there any serious offers, or just "window shoppers"? - The "Why": Why do you think the house hasn't sold yet? (Listen closely—this is where they reveal their biggest frustrations). - Motivation: If you don't mind me asking, what’s the main reason behind the move? - Pricing Strategy: What was your logic when setting the initial price? Did you base it on market data, or just what you saw on Zillow? What about you? What’s the one question you NEVER skip during a listing appointment? Let’s talk shop below! 👇
